Etrian Odyssey II Coming to U.S.

Atlus announces the coming of Etrian Odyssey II: Heroes of Lagaard for Nintendo DS.  Expect more dungeon crawling exploration filled with fiendish FOEs as well as new character classes and improved mapping system.  The odyssey resumes June 17th.  Read more about the game after the jump.

New Street Fighter IV Character

A new Street Fighter IV character has been revealed: Abel! Described as “a man without a past,” he searches for clues from the remaining members of Shadaloo. Abel, along with the rest of the already revealed cast, will be playable at this weekend’s AOU 2008 Expo in Tokyo, Japan.

IBM Shrinks Cell Processor

IBM announced details of a 45nm cell that will use 40 percent less power and 34 percent less die area than the current 65nm cell which powers the PS3. Like the previous size reduction on Blu-ray lasers, cheaper manufacturing will lead to cheaper overall costs. Read more after the jump.

Home Undergoes Changes

At the IMAGINA 08 Conference in Monoco, Sony’s PlayStation Home was on display with several changes made to it as a result of user feedback during its beta testing. Among some of the changes are new open areas and redesigned entrance points to key content areas like the Bowling Alley and Theater. Read more about the changes after the jump. PlayStation Home is currently set for a Spring 2008 release and will be available as a free download for all PlayStation 3 users.

Fatal Frame 4 Coming To Wii

During the 2008 Winter Tecmo Press Conference, it was announced the next Fatal Frame title will be jointly worked on by Tecmo and Grasshopper Manufacture for the Nintendo Wii. ‘Rei ~Tsukihami no Kame~’, roughly translated as “Zero - Mask of the Lunar Eclipse”, will have ‘memories’ as a central theme. The game is currently set for a Summer 2008 release.
